Wholesale banknotes, dealt direct from Sydney
We supply bulk foreign banknotes to currency exchanges, banks, and travel, education and remittance businesses, and we buy surplus notes back. Wholesale came first here; the retail counter came later. You deal with the people who hold the stock, not a portal.
Currencies, volumes, denominations and when you need them. That is enough for us to price it.
Who buys wholesale from us
If you are buying foreign cash by the bundle rather than the note, this is the right desk.
Currency exchanges
Other exchanges topping up stock, clearing surplus, or covering a currency they do not normally carry. Supplying bureaux de change is where this business began.
Financial institutions
Banks and financial services businesses sourcing foreign banknotes, or moving surplus notes off their own balance sheet rather than holding them.
Cash-heavy businesses
Travel, tourism, education and remittance businesses, and any operation that handles enough foreign cash that buying it at retail stops making sense.
Every note is counted and checked before it leaves us
The one part of a wholesale order you cannot check for yourself once it is sealed.
What we can supply, and what we will take back
Tell us the currency and we will tell you whether we can source it - the wholesale range is not the same as the retail rate board.
From a single bundle to a standing arrangement, in the denominations that suit your counter - small notes if your customers ask for them, large if they do not. Tell us the split when you order.
The majors you move every week, and the less common currencies that are hard to source through a retail channel. Ask before you commit and we will tell you what a currency will take to get, rather than after you have ordered.
Surplus notes you have stopped dealing in, or a currency you are exiting entirely. Send us the currencies and rough amounts and we will price it. We will tell you upfront what we cannot take, rather than after it arrives.
Notes are machine counted and checked before they leave us, so what arrives is what the paperwork says.
You speak to the people who hold the stock. No portal, no ticket queue, and no account manager relaying your question to someone in another time zone.
We are on Level 2 at 60 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Same trading day, same time zone, and you are welcome to come in and see the desk you are dealing with.
What your compliance team will ask for
Everything here is independently checkable.
What we need from you to quote
No form. Four things in an email or one phone call and we can price it.
Send us these four
The currencies, the volumes, the denominations that suit your counter, and when you need them by. If you are clearing surplus instead, the currencies and roughly how much is enough to start.
What you get back
A rate, and confirmation of how and when it can be settled. Rates on volume move through the day, so a quote is firm at the moment you deal, not before.
What buyers ask us
If yours is not here, ring the desk. Most of these are a two-minute answer on the phone.
Yes. Supplying other bureaux de change and financial institutions is where this business started, and it is still a core part of what we do alongside the retail counter.
Yes. We buy foreign banknotes as well as supplying them, which is useful if you are holding a currency you have stopped dealing in. Tell us the currencies and the approximate amounts and we will quote.
No. The rates published on our exchange rates page are retail counter rates for individual customers. Wholesale is priced on the currency, the volume and the day, and is quoted directly.

Cash only. We do not take card payments at the counter at the moment, so bring Australian dollars in cash to buy. If you are selling foreign cash to us, we pay you in cash.
