Three different things, three different routes. If you are just buying or selling cash, you do not need to contact us at all - come in.
Buying or selling cash
No appointment, no booking. Come in any weekday during opening hours and we will serve you at the counter. Call (02) 8014 4222 first if you want a large amount or a less common currency, so we can have the notes and the note sizes ready.

Bureaux de change, financial institutions and high-volume businesses deal with our wholesale desk, not the retail counter. Email contact@currencywise.com.au with the currencies, volumes, denominations and timing, and we will quote.

Between King and Market Street in the Sydney CBD. The map pin is the building - our counter is one floor up.
The pin marks the building at street level, so if you are standing on it and cannot see a currency exchange, you are in the right place. Go in through the ground-floor doors beside the shopfronts, take the lift to Level 2, and our door is Suite 202A. There are no stairs anywhere on that route. Rates, reserving currency, opening hours, and who to talk to when something goes wrong.
We can tell you where a currency is sitting, but rates move during the trading day, so the rate that applies is the one at the moment you exchange. The live board on our exchange rates page is the fastest way to see where things are right now.
Yes. Call us with the currency, the amount and the note sizes you want. This matters most for larger amounts and less common currencies, where what is on the shelf changes from day to day.
No. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5pm, and closed on Saturday, Sunday and NSW public holidays. If a holiday falls midweek it is worth calling to confirm before travelling in.

Cash only. We do not take card payments at the counter at the moment, so bring Australian dollars in cash to buy. If you are selling foreign cash to us, we pay you in cash.
