"Best Price Guarantee" Terms and Conditions

Definitions

  • Competitor: An Australian-registered business operating within the same shopping centre as participating Currency Wise stores.
  • Overall Transaction Price: The lowest total cost charged by a competitor for a transaction at any given rate, including all fees, commissions, service charges, delivery fees, and any hidden costs in the rate markup.

Our Commitment

We will beat any competitor's Overall Transaction Price for a foreign currency exchange transaction by $1 AUD, provided all the conditions below are met.

  • The competitor's rate is an official written quotation or a publicly available published rate.
  • The competitor's official written quotation or published rate is presented to Currency Wise on the same day it was issued and before undertaking any transaction with us.
  • The comparison is based on the Overall Transaction Price and includes all fees, charges, commissions, and levies applied by the competitor.
  • The competitor has the foreign currency in stock to complete the transaction on the same day the customer visits our store. For online rates and orders, the currency must be available for collection at the competitor's store on the same day.

Scope of the Guarantee

  • Applies to competitors that operate as foreign exchange retailers in physical locations.
  • Covers the purchase and/or sale of foreign currency notes only. Currency cards and similar products are excluded.
  • Maximum eligible Overall Transaction Price: $10,000 AUD (or equivalent in foreign currency).

Exclusions

  • Quotes derived from foreign currency exchange derivative products (e.g., futures, options, ETFs, forwards, swaps) or trading products/platforms, whether online, in person, or via brokers.
  • Rates restricted to closed user groups or otherwise not available to the general public.

Proof Requirements

  • Proof must be an official written quotation from the competitor or a published rate accessible to the general public on the competitor's website or marketing materials.
  • Quotations must state the specific time and date and be presented prior to any transaction, enabling comparison against the current day's opening mid‑market rate.
  • Due to daily exchange rate fluctuations, claims can only be made on the same calendar day as the quote/publication.

Currency Wise reserves the right to verify the competitor's quoted price and stock availability for a same-day transaction via electronic communication, telephone, or in person.

Additional Terms

  • We are not obligated to beat a quote if a customer does not comply with these terms and conditions.
  • We may amend these terms or withdraw/suspend the Best Price Guarantee at any time without notice.
  • The Best Price Guarantee is available for personal use only. Commercial operators such as foreign currency wholesalers, financial institutions, or other currency providers are excluded. Currency Wise reserves the right to refuse claims suspected of being for non-personal use.
