  • Exchange rates and fees may change without notice due to market conditions. The final rate will be confirmed at the point of sale.
  • Accepted payment methods include cash, EFTPOS, bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay).
  • EFTPOS from a Savings or Cheque account incurs no extra fee. A 1% fee applies to credit cards, debit cards when tapped, and mobile payments. To avoid this fee, insert your debit card and select Savings or Cheque.
  • Credit card cash advance notice: Your card issuer may treat currency purchases as cash advances, which can attract fees and interest from the transaction date. Check with your bank for details.

4. Currency Availability and Conditions

Certain currencies and large amounts may be subject to availability. Contact the store in advance for high-value or uncommon currencies. We only accept foreign currency in good, resaleable condition and may refuse bills that are damaged, worn, or outdated.

5. Currency Orders and Payment Terms

  • Placing an Order: Customers can pre-order currencies for collection at a Currency Wise store, in person or by phone.
  • Payment Options: Pay over the phone at the time of ordering or upon collection. Phone payments are processed securely.
  • Deposits: A deposit is required to secure your order. Deposits may be non-refundable or partially refundable depending on circumstances.
  • Order Confirmation & Collection: You’ll receive an estimated collection date. Bring valid ID and order details when collecting.
  • Order Changes: Contact us promptly for modifications. Changes depend on availability and may affect the exchange rate.
  • Cancellations & Non-Collection: Orders not collected within the specified timeframe (e.g., 7 business days) may be cancelled and subject to an administrative fee and loss of deposit.
  • Exchange Rate for Orders: The applicable rate is confirmed at payment. If paying on collection, the day’s rate applies. Currency Wise is not responsible for rate changes if collection is delayed.

6. Customer Conduct and Right to Refuse Service

We aim to provide a safe, respectful environment. Disruptive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to refuse service or ask individuals to leave if conduct expectations are not met.

If an error results in overpayment or excess currency, we may contact you to request its return. Please cooperate by returning any overpaid amount promptly, either in-store or via an agreed method. This supports fair trading and accurate transactions.
